Michelin-star dining doesn't have to break the bank! At L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michelle in Naples, Italy, we enjoyed a truly memorable and affordable meal.
In 1870, Salvatore Condurro and family began their rich pizza-making legacy in the heart of central Naples. Salvatore's son, Michele Condurro, later honed his family craft by learning the culinary secrets of renowned Torre Annunziata masters, experts in pasta and pizza making. In 1906, Michele opened the family's first pizzeria, and by 1930, founded the restaurant's permanent location at Via Cesare Sersale 1 in Naples, Italy. Revered by experts as "the sacred temple of pizza," this central Napoli location has been a pilgrimage for locals and tourists alike for more than 100 years.
Da Michelle's enduring success can be attributed to their use of natural ingredients and ancient, proven, dough-leavening methods. Over five generations, master pizza chefs have diligently preserved the founders' legacy, upholding and honoring original recipes.
For just €18, two classic Margherita pizzas and two Cokes proved beyond fantastic, confirming that even Michelin-star dining experiences can be affordable AND delightful!
Be sure to check them out on social and build them into your trip itinerary!
